Preparing article to present on Oct.24 2017 Self-tutoring Assessment.
Good morning everyone here.
I intend demonstrate to you in PwC’s official language, thus doesn’t mean that I am showing off or trying to outstand myself. I do this just to enhance myself, in an appropriate and reasonable way.
Actually today is a date when I am given a task to demonstrate to you what I have been learning in these past days (from Sep.28 till now), and what achievements I have obtained, and during those days, I have been going through a lot, mates’ resignation, my physical surgery, and now I am finally settled I guess.
Well, instead of presenting you my accomplishments, I’d prefer to present you my summarization in those days’ self-tutoring.
I am nothing at all when I first stepped into this firm, and now still a newbie, and still finding my feet. Actually SAP was something which sounds quite strange and unfamiliar to me, and by googling it, I admit that I still don’t get quite a clear mind of what it is; at that time, time was hard to go, because as a student on campus, I with disgrace, have to acknowledge that: I know nothing about business, in other words, I shall create little even no profit for the company I am in. Yet that doesn’t mean I am useless, because I do believe a good firm like PwC, will allow me a chance to grow, and find my position. And here is one thing I think I shall complain about myself, that: we are divided and distributed into different domains, and are required to accept specific technical trainings at the very first beginning, it was so unexpected that I did not get clear what I am learning until now. Well it took nearly three months to finish this process. I take pride that I am still here. And still have time to keep learning.
Well, I would like to say I seemingly have done nothing that an ABAPer will typically do. It is more likely that I am doing something that a functional consultant intern would do. I have inspected a little time into code working, but a lot to the front-end manipulatory techniques. Such as what I am about to say now.
I have glanced at the classifications of sections in SAP, like SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling), SAP MM (Material Management), SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management), SAP PP (Production Planning), SAP PM (Plant Maintenance), so forth and so on, even SAP ABAP is also a vital part of it. And each of them is isolated but also integrated. And recently I think I have been diving into the FICO part. I have read through about Financial Statements like Balance Sheet. And could give a copy of codework on how it looks like.
And also, I gradually make myself clear of some small programming capabilities as well as business logics. About FI, I have started to master it in these aspects:
Organization Structure including such as company and company code definitions, business area definitions,
Financial Accounting and Global Settings including such as Fiscal Year Variant maintenance,
General Ledger including like Chart of Accounts and Account Groups,
Accounts Payable including Vendor creation,
Accounts Receivable including Customer creation.
And of course this is not a complete list. I prepare to finish them one by one. While the things await to be mastered are far more than above. And I will keep doing it.
